    Overuse and Overtraining Injuries

Overtraining and overuse injuries might not sound as scary as a heart attack, but they are actually the most common type of running injuries, according to the American College of Sports Medicine, and the amount of people who experience these injuries is increasing every day.

To counteract the issue, the Office of Athletics at UA, in collaboration with the Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS), is organizing the second session of the Sports and Well-being series for this academic year, entitled Overuse and Overtraining Injuries. Despite all the benefits of exercising, there comes a point when it becomes a factor of ill-being rather than well-being. This session will teach you to recognize the signs of overtraining and overuse injury in order to avoid getting injured.

    Audience: UA community
    Date: Tuesday, December 6, 2022
    Time: 2:30–3:30 PM
    Location: Hadat–Baabda Campus, Building G, Room G.2.7
Speaker: Dr. Mansour Dib, MD in Sports Medicine

Register now for this session, and for more information, contact the Office of Athletics via athletics@ua.edu.lb or +961 5 927000 ext. 2506.
