Chamber Music Season

Chamber Music Season

To strengthen the commitment the Antonine University (UA) promised to its students and the community, UA introduces Chamber Music Season (CMS) a first of its kind initiative developed for Chamber Music in Lebanon.

Chamber Music is a form of classical music that was established in the late 1700s and early 1800s by great composers like Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. Chamber Music is composed of small ensembles, which is the reason it was called trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, etc. depending on the number of players. This small size gives Chamber Music an essential characteristic, its intimacy. You can sense this feeling of intimacy from its rich display of different instrumental usage and the flawless acoustical balance.

CMS has its home in UA’s Lady of Seeds chapel. Through its numerous performances and educational activities, it shares this stimulating experience of great Chamber Music with more audiences than any other festival organization in Lebanon.

Performing with CMS has numerous benefits and provides you with various opportunities, like:

  • Enhanced musical technique and understanding;
  • A vast amount of performance opportunities; and
  • Exposure to new and different styles of music.

Chamber Music creates a better-developed musician, regardless of age and experience.

If you join and perform with CMS will enjoy an enhanced ability to hear every detail of any piece of music, and develop your musical imagination while having fun.
