Sunbula is more than UA’s mascot—it is a symbol of the University identity, community, and spirit. Inspired by Our Lady of the Seeds, Sunbula takes the form of a wheat ear, carrying a story of growth, abundance, faith, and human flourishing. Rooted in UA’s heritage, Sunbula reflects the journey of every member of our community: growing with purpose, remaining grounded in values, and contributing to something greater than oneself.

Sunbula’s story begins with UA’s patron saint, Our Lady of the Seeds, a figure deeply connected to UA’s spiritual heritage and identity.

The wheat ear at the heart of the mascot evokes nourishment, renewal, and abundance. From a single seed comes growth; from many grains comes a harvest.
