In light of the monthly Les Jeudis de l’InfoCom series, the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC) at Antonine University (UA) is holding a virtual session about The Lebanese Stamp: Heritage and Citizenship to learn about the stamp history in Lebanon, starting with the first issue done in 1916 — when it was still under Turkish colonial rule — to the present day, in different national and international fields: cultural, scientific, economic, industrial, etc. This webinar will allow us to discover our heritage through the Lebanese stamps collection and learn about the value of these stamps for heritage preservation and as guardians of memory against oblivion, an archive of paramount importance for the Lebanese citizen and future generations.
Through this presentation, we aim to sensitize young people and rekindle the flame of the less young to everything that makes them proud of belonging to Lebanon and show how our country has developed a solid base despite the vagaries of the present day.
