As part of our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at Antonine University (UA) is collaborating with the Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED), the Green Party of Lebanon (GPL), and the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism to organize an awareness session titled The Whole Story Behind Honey. This session falls under SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land.
Honey, a primary product of bees, faces various challenges, particularly due to climate change. To help mitigate this issue, it is essential to deepen our understanding of bee biology, honey production processes, and the diverse range of honey varieties found in Lebanon. By acquiring this knowledge, we can better appreciate the intricacies of honey. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to explore the art of honey tasting and experience the unique flavors of 5 Lebanese honey varieties.
