The Department of Nursing Sciences (DNS) at Antonine University (UA), in collaboration with the Lions Club Zgharta Zawieh, invites you to a Free Medical Day that will be held on the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus, in conjunction with the International Nurses Day.
The purpose of this day is to provide free consultations and healthcare services to the residents of the region. Healthcare professionals such as an ophthalmologist, an optician, a dentist, a general practitioner, a cardiologist, and a dietitian will conduct clinical examinations, measure participants’ blood sugar and blood pressure, and provide hands-on training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using a mannequin in collaboration with all nursing students of the Department.
Objectives of the Day
- Raise awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare.
- Increase knowledge of first aid.
- Introduce nursing students to participant care.
- Celebrate International Nurses Day.
- Strengthen the ties between the University and the community in the North.
