The Office of Social Affairs (OSAf) at Antonine University (UA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS), organized “Grow in Unity” on October 24, 2025, at the Hadat–Baabda Campus, a heartwarming initiative celebrating inclusion, joy, and human connection through sports and shared experiences.
From the moment the children from the Foyer des Antonins – Mrouj (Orphanage and Social Center) arrived, the Campus was filled with excitement. They were greeted at the fountain by Sunbula, UA’s beloved mascot, whose lively energy and warm hugs instantly sparked smiles all around.
The day unfolded in a spirit of genuine togetherness. UA students, staff, and the young guests gathered for lunch, sharing stories and laughter in a moment that reflected the true essence of community. This was followed by a creative planting workshop, where each child decorated a pot and planted a flower, a touching symbol of personal growth and new beginnings, and a memory they could take home and nurture just as they were nurtured that day.
The celebration then moved to the Green Field, where third-year FSS students led a dynamic set of five recreational and sports activities designed to encourage teamwork, movement, and fun. Whether running, jumping, or cheering for one another, each game became an opportunity to connect and celebrate diversity through the universal language of sport.
The children’s excitement and genuine enjoyment throughout the well-planned activities reflected the care and dedication behind the event—and even sparked in many of them a hopeful curiosity about one day joining theUA community.
Through “Grow in Unity,” UA once again reaffirmed its mission to serve both education and humanity, and to foster inclusion and empathy as essential dimensions of holistic well-being. The initiative beautifully echoed the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), showing how a single day of kindness can plant seeds of belonging that grow far beyond the field.
