Project Highlights

Duration  Short-term research project.
Publication Requirement The findings of the research project must be published in reputable journals, preferably open access. This condition is necessary to ensure your eligibility for future funding under the RASMI research program.
Publication Fees The University covers article processing charges (APC) up to a specified limit. (Please refer to the related documentation for details.)
Eligibility  Research projects led by faculty members and contract instructors who teach a total of nine credits or more across two consecutive semesters per year are eligible.
Research Priorities Research must align with UA’s priority research axes, as well as the University’s mission and values.
Focus Areas  Projects should address pressing social, economic, technological, cultural, or health-related issues.
SMART Goals  It is recommended that research planning and methodology follow SMART goals: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. This approach ensures that research aims are clear, quantifiable, and realistically feasible.
Research Premium Researchers are awarded a research premium based on the number of publications produced and their authorship order. (Please refer to the guide for completing the RASMI internal funding application.)
Final Reports  At the end of the project, both a scientific report and a financial report must be submitted to the Vice Rectorate for Research.
Project Leadership The project leader (holder of the project) is autonomous in their decisions and is directly accountable for managing the scientific, administrative, academic, and financial aspects of the project.
