Short-term research project, which can last 8 or 14 months. |
Publication Requirement |
The findings of the research project must be published in reputable, indexed journals, preferably open access. This allows you to continue applying for project funding under the RASMI research program. |
Publication Fees |
The University will cover article processing charges (APC) up to a specified limit (please refer to other documentation for details). |
Eligibility |
All instructors-researchers and contractual instructors who teach 9 or more credits per year are eligible to apply. |
Research Priorities |
Research must align with UA’s priority research lines, as well as its mission and values. |
Focus Areas |
Projects should address pressing social, economic, technological, cultural, and health issues. |
SMART Goals |
It is recommended that research planning and methodology follow SMART goals — specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. This approach ensures that research aims are clear, quantifiable, and realistically feasible. |
Research Premium |
Researchers will be awarded a research premium based on the number of publications produced and the authorship order. |
Final Reports |
At the end of the project, a scientific report and a financial report must be submitted to the Vice Rectorate for Research.

Project Leadership |
The project leader (holder of the project) is autonomous in their decisions and is directly accountable for managing the scientific, administrative, academic, and financial aspects of their project. |
