FAQs

1.   Can I submit multiple applications for the RASMI program’s first call for proposals?
No. Researchers may submit only one application per call for proposals.

2.

What steps should I follow to publish my results under the RASMI research program?
It is recommended that you adopt a publication strategy that prioritizes open-access journals with high-impact factors. You must also:

  • systematically mention your affiliation with Antonine University in all publications;
  • include a statement indicating that your research project was funded by UA’s RASMI program.

This statement is required in order to receive the research bonus associated with your publication.

Contract instructors may indicate a dual affiliation, including with UA, provided this complies with institutional best practices.

3.   Who owns the intellectual property of research conducted under the RASMI program?
All results produced and published under the RASMI program are the intellectual property of Antonine University.
Final reports (scientific and financial) must be submitted as editable digital files to the unit with which the instructor-researcher is affiliated.
4.   What guidelines should I follow to promote research at UA as a member of the academic staff?
It is recommended that you follow UA’s official publication strategy mentioned in the following document: Strategic Guidelines for Optimizing Scientific Publications at UA.
This strategy prioritizes open-access journals with high impact factors.

5.

Can I apply for the next RASMI call for proposals?

  • Eight-month project leaders (RASMI 2024–25 edition): Eligible to apply after completing their initial project and submitting their final scientific and financial reports, even if the results have not yet been published.
  • Fourteen-month project leaders (RASMI 2024–25 edition): Not eligible until their results are published in high-impact journals and all final reports are submitted within the required timeframe.

If no publication is produced following two consecutive RASMI grants, the project leader loses eligibility for a third RASMI grant.

6.   Will I receive a research bonus under the RASMI program?
Yes. If your project results in a publication, the research bonus is awarded to the first and second author, provided they are affiliated with UA.
An additional bonus is granted to the corresponding author, regardless of their position in the list of authors.
7.  Are publication fees included in the research budget allocated to my project?
No. Publication fees are not included in the project’s internal research budget.
8.  How can I claim and manage expenses related to my RASMI program?
All communications and transactions related to the budget categories (items a, b, c, and d), along with supporting documents, must be submitted to UA’s Office of the Bursar.
A copy must also be sent to the Vice Rector for Research for informational purposes only.

The financial management guide for RASMI projects is available under the Guides and Forms section.
9.  What are the criteria and procedures for submitting my RASMI research project?
You must complete the following form: Application for Funding a Project Under the RASMI Research Program
Any application missing one or more required documents will be considered incomplete, which may jeopardize your eligibility to proceed to the next stage.
