Mission
The primary mission of the Office of Social Affairs (OSAf) is to support students seeking financial assistance in achieving their educational goals and successfully transitioning into university life.
The Office works to reduce financial barriers that may limit access to quality education while also offering scholarships to outstanding students in order to promote academic excellence and support the University’s strategic priorities.
The OSAf also plays an important role in providing students with advisory support and psychosocial follow-up, helping them cope with financial stress and maintain their well-being throughout their academic journey.
The social affairs team is committed to responding to inquiries in a timely manner, reviewing applications on a case-by-case basis, ensuring compliance with institutional requirements, and maintaining strict confidentiality of students’ personal information.
Values
The OSAf adheres to the core values commonly upheld in the field of social work, particularly:
- respect for the inherent dignity and worth of every person;
- commitment to social justice;
- professional integrity in practice;
- confidentiality in professional practice;
- professional competence.
