Two Antonine University (UA) students have begun a one-semester study mobility at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, through the Erasmus+ programme, combining their studies with an international and intercultural experience.
Lana Shahda, an MBA student at the Antonine School of Business, and Lea Tannoury, a Computer and Communications Engineering student at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, are spending the semester at Sapienza as part of their academic journey at UA.
Their journey began on a celebratory note during Sapienza University’s Welcome Week, where Lana and Lea were awarded second prize in the Welcome Week Contest for their response to the question, “Why did you choose Sapienza?”
Their response (featured among the accompanying visuals) reflects on Rome’s history, culture, and architecture, Sapienza’s blend of tradition and innovation, and the opportunity to learn and grow through an international experience: “I chose Sapienza to learn, to explore, and to be inspired every single day.”
Beyond their studies, the semester offers Lana and Lea the opportunity to experience a different academic and cultural environment, meet people from diverse backgrounds, and gain new perspectives through life abroad.
Through opportunities such as Erasmus+ mobility, UA continues to advance its commitment to internationalization, creating pathways for students to learn beyond their home campus, engage across cultures, and bring new experiences and perspectives back to their University community.
UA congratulates Lana and Lea on their recognition and wishes them a rewarding semester filled with learning, discovery, and meaningful encounters.
