In a spirit of continuity, Antonine University (UA) marked the transition of administrative responsibilities through handover ceremonies held across its three campuses, as several members of the Antonine Maronite Order (OAM) were called to new missions within UA and beyond.

At the Hadat–Baabda Campus, the ceremony took place in the presence of UA Chancellor and Superior General of the OAM, Most Rev. Fr. Abbot Joseph Bou Raad, and UA Rector, Fr. Michel Saghbiny.

Following midday prayer, Abbot Bou Raad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the fathers who had served the University and were preparing for new forms of service. He thanked Fr. Ziad Maatouk, Secretary General and Vice Rector for Administration; Fr. Chucri El Khoury, Bursar; Fr. Raymond Hachem, Director of the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus; Fr. Maged Maroun, Director of the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus; and Fr. Antoine Abboud, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to the University and its community.

He also congratulated Fr. Jean Al Alam on his appointment as Secretary General and Vice Rector for Integral Human Development, and Fr. Joe Bou Jaoude on his appointment as Bursar, wishing them success in their new responsibilities.

The handover ceremonies continued at UA’s other campuses in the presence of Fr. Saghbiny. At the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus, Fr. Chucri El Khoury succeeded Fr. Maged Maroun as Campus Director, while at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus, Fr. Elias Chakhtoura succeeded Fr. Raymond Hachem in the same capacity.

Fr. Saghbiny extended his best wishes to all the fathers as they embrace the missions entrusted to them, whether at UA or beyond the University. He wished them success in carrying forward the mission of the Antonine Maronite Order wherever they are called, while contributing to UA’s academic and educational purpose and its enduring commitment to serving Lebanon and its communities.
