    06 July 2021
You Can Now Win Full Scholarships for your Master’s Degrees!

    To the class of 2021,

Congratulations! You are about to embark on a new chapter in your life. It has been a long journey with many challenges along the way, but you were able to rise above the unforeseen and difficult circumstances and take control of your future. Your efforts have paid off! Be extremely proud of yourself, as the University is of each and every one of you!

It is well known that this year marks the 25th anniversary of Antonine University (UA), the academic institution whose first priority is to keep creating a supportive environment for you to constantly learn, develop skills, and flourish to the best extent possible. It has become your second home, your safe haven, empowering you to keep your big dreams alive and turn them into success stories. With that said, and as we are aware that many of you had to endure enormous stress and the greatest financial hardship, while others were forced to drop out of university, we are extremely delighted to announce that the Vice Rectorate for Integral Human Development has decided to award three of you full scholarships to pursue their master’s degrees at UA.

For this purpose, you are invited to carry out an on-campus project that showcases your capabilities to represent and visualize UA values mentioned below:

Truth – UA seeks the Truth and will always apply it and communicate it with wisdom.
Excellence – UA strives to achieve the highest standards of teaching, research, and service.
Diversity – UA provides an inclusive community that respects differences among its members.
Integrity – UA encourages its community to act ethically with dignity, honesty, and fairness.
Responsibility – UA promotes solidarity and proactive citizenship through sustainable actions.
Beauty – UA promotes cultural awareness and engagement by encouraging creative work and valorizing the local and global cultural heritage.

We firmly believe that your success lies in the integration of these pillars into your daily practices, as they have always helped nurture a culture of dialogue, respect, and inclusiveness. Twenty-five years have passed since the values were incorporated in our institution and we are confident that they will surely accompany all future generations and enable them to fulfill their hopes and aspirations. You were able to truly embody them throughout your academic years at UA, and this could perhaps be a stepping stone for you to be granted a full master’s scholarship.

    Project Parameters

    • Application file: It includes your full name, ID number, campus, faculty, specialization (if available), and the master’s degree program you wish to pursue at UA.
    • Presentation medium: MS Word document, PowerPoint presentation, video, model, etc.
    • Project feasibility: Take time to reflect on the following questions to ensure that the project can be easily and practically implemented:

o Which type of material best serves this purpose?
o What are the dimensions of your presentation?
o What colors will you use and why?
o Where on campus will you be able to personify the values?
o How did you come up with this idea?
o How will you bring it to life?

To complete your project, you are asked to include a short motivational letter (350 words) in which you express why yours would be selected and why you deserve to earn this scholarship. It shall be submitted together with your project to Ms. Jocelyn Saab, executive assistant at the Vice-Rectorate for Integral Human Development, via the following email address: jocelyn.saab@ua.edu.lb.

The deadline of submission is Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

The jury panel will meet afterwards to discuss all the projects in order to choose the three winners based on the following criteria: concept, originality, motivation, creativity, consistency, planning, and feasibility. Results will be announced during the Commencement Ceremony.
