The Faculty of Sport Sciences of Antonine University hosted, on April 4, 2019, a dozen local and international experts to speak on the theme "Innovations and Vulnerabilities in Sports" as part of a conference held at the Hadat-Baabda campus.

The challenge was to look at sports in a transversal way to gain a more global vision of it. Among the invited speakers were numerous figures such as the President of the French Basketball Federation Jean-Pierre Siutat and international footballer Lilian Thuram representing the Barça Foundation. There were also sports journalists from France 24, members of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, a specialist in sports shoe marketing as well as academics, doctors, and physiotherapists.

The main topics of the day were the social change induced by sports, the weight of money and sponsors, and new information technologies in the field, as well as exercise programs and their role in athlete performance.
