  • Antonine University Honors the Ambassador of Italy to Lebanon

    Antonine University honored the Ambassador of Italy to Lebanon, H.E. Massimo Marotti, for his unwavering support of the University, throughout these last years, during a lunch held at Our Lady of Seeds Chapel located in the Hadat-Baabda campus.
    Alongside Ambassador Moretti, the Rector Fr. Michel Jalakh was present with Emmanuel D’andrassi, Italian Ambassador’s Chief of Staff, and Dr. Monika Zecca, Cultural Attaché. Fr. Toufic Maatouk, Secretary General also attended lunch, alongside Fr. Jean El Alam, Vice-president for Integral Human Development; Fr. Najib Baaklini; Fr. Maroun Abi Nader, Dean of the Faculty of Theological Sciences and Pastoral Studies; Fr. Charbel Ghanem; Fr. Fadi Tawk; as well as Dr. Chady Abou Jaoude Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
    On this occasion, Father Jalakh welcomed the honorable guest and showed his appreciation for Ambassador Marotti’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between UA and Italy, especially on academic, scientific, and cultural levels. In turn, the Italian diplomat thanked Antonine University for its hospitality and its collaboration with the various scientific, cultural and artistic fields.
    At the end of the meeting, Fr. Jalakh, on behalf of UA, presented to Mr. Marotti a symbolic gift, an icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
