  • Antonine University Leads the BMW Group Competition

    The long-awaited competition entitled "BMW Hackaton Beirut 2019" took place at the Lebanese American University (LAU) on Tuesday, October 8.
    The objective of this event, in which the following eight Lebanese universities participated, was "the use of artificial intelligence in the mechanisms of automobile manufacturing". The participants were Antonine University (UA), American University of Beirut (AUB), Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Lebanese American University (LAU), Lebanese University (UL), Notre Dame University (NDU), Saint Joseph University (USJ) and the University of Balamand (UoB). Each of the latter was represented by teams of students from the faculties of engineering and computer science who were to submit solutions and programs contributing to the development of the automotive industry.
    Six teams qualified in second place, three of which represented the UA.
    Finally, one of the teams, formed of three excellent students from Antonine University, won the well-deserved first prize.
