More about this session
The American Psychological Association defines "resilience" in their Road to Resilience Initiative as the process of good coping and adaptation when facing challenges, trauma, or significant sources of stress. Initially, studies about resilience started with surveying individuals following traumatic events they encountered and measuring the presence of their emotional distress. In fact, some people recover without forming post-traumatic stress symptoms. Researchers at the University of North Carolina define the "Post-Traumatic Growth" as the factors associated with the positive change or flourishment human beings experience following a traumatic event.
Objectives of the Training
- Deeply understand what resilience is.
- Discover what events can be traumatic.
- Identify resilience skills.
- Learn how to build resilience.
