Overview

Mission

Under the guided leadership of Artistic Director Toufic Maatouk o.a.m, Chamber Music Season's core mission is to present a wide variety of concert series and educational events for listeners of all ages, appealing to both connoisseurs and newcomers.

Vision

The Chamber Music Season’s numerous activities—from concerts to educational programs—are based on a clear vision, which was articulated in 2014 when the Chamber Music Season was founded. That states, the objectives on which the Chamber Music Season of the Antonine University (UA) was created, are to stimulate and support the culture, attract appreciation for Chamber Music, bring praise for the performance, and spread chamber music tradition in Lebanon.

Together with the Antonine School of Music and the Faculty of Music and Musicology, the university intents on delivering that vision by:

  • Presenting free chamber music concerts performed by artists selected by the Chamber Music Season Artistic Director at which the public may hear works; and
  • Developing programs and activities intended to stimulate and encourage exposure to and appreciation of the literature, history, and performance of chamber music.

Artistic Leadership

In 2014, UA founded the Chamber Music Season and appointed conductor Fr.Toufic Maatouk o.a.m (Guest conductor of the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra and Artistic Director of Beirut Chants Festival) as its creative director. Fr. Toufic Maatouk is one of the most compelling Lebanese orchestra conductors of his generation.
