The event began with the national anthem, the International Olympic anthem and the Lebanese Olympic anthem, accompanied by the flags, and then a welcome note delivered by the Media Advisor to the Olympic Committee, Hassan Mohieldin. After that, Dr. Jalakh gave the speech of the International Olympic Committee’s President, Dr. Thomas Bach, in which he said:

    “Olympic Friends,

The founder, Pierre de Coubertin, revived the Olympic Games in 1894 because he saw that it was a way to spread peace between nations and people, he was always a forerunner when he said: “The Olympic Games will be a potent, if indirect factor in securing universal peace”, unless the one written was found somewhere else.” Therefore, the goal of the Olympic movement has always been to spread peace through sport. On this Olympic day, we celebrate the founding of the Olympic Movement, and it is the best time to remind ourselves of this mission towards peace, since sport builds bridges and brings people together in peace and solidarity during these difficult times marked by escalating conflicts and divisions. This Olympic spirit guides us to move forward quickly and to realize that the sky is our only limit, enabling us to become stronger by standing together for a world of peace. On this day, we hope to come together in our call around the world and say: "Give peace a chance."

Then, Father Jalakh pointed out in his speech that sport has always been Antonine University’s constant concern, for which it has always sacrificed what is rare and precious, as it was convinced that it is one of the basic pillars of building a cohesive, cooperative and healthy society, and here we are happy to host this Olympic day, in cooperation with the Lebanese Olympic Committee. He added: “Our meeting today confirms the extent of our care and interest in sport, not only because it raises the name of Lebanon high, but also because it carries within it the values of ethics, integrity, commitment, excellence in performance, fair play, honorable competition, winning and participation enjoyment, acceptance of losses and learning from them, with an emphasis on sportsmanship, not to mention the physical health, psychological comfort and self-confidence. For all of the above-mentioned reasons, Antonine University invested in the Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS) in order to integrate those values into the education of its students and achieve its mission in building a Lebanese society based on respect for others and recognition of each other's abilities. Father Jalakh concluded his speech by highlighting that the Olympic Committee and Antonine University have many common interests, the most important two revolving around the following: youth thirst for a bright future that befits them and is their right and the unique values of sport.

Afterwards, the player Ray Bassil and the player Hassan Maatouk took the following Olympic oath:

    - To respect the rules of these sports games and work according to their principles
    - To be committed to the spirit of fair play, inclusion and equality
    - To stand in solidarity with one another
    - To turn away from doping, cheating, or discriminating against other players

Moreover, Muay Thai, gymnastics, wushu, judo, table tennis and badminton performances were made, ending with volleyball, basketball and football matches between the Antonine University’s alumni teams and the current teams under the supervision of the Chairman of the Sport and Active Society Commission and Olympic Day Committee and member of the Olympic Committee Walid Doumiati and the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Antonine University, in an enthusiastic atmosphere created by the audience.

It remains to be noted that this day included a competition on sports culture and the Olympic Day prepared by the Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission, headed by the committee member, Treasurer Khodor Makled. All the winners were awarded prizes.
