Call for Applications | CÈDRE Program 2025

The call for applications for the CÈDRE 2025 program (Franco-Lebanese Hubert Curien (PHC) partnership) is now open. The program aims to promote scientific and technological exchanges between French and Lebanese laboratories (new cooperation, participation of young researchers and doctoral students, etc.). The program covers all research fields and encourages interdisciplinary projects.

For French and Lebanese applicants, applications must be submitted electronically through the Campus France website, following the online registration procedures.

Call for Applications | L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science

The L’Oréal Foundation, in partnership with UNESCO and the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) of Lebanon, announced the 2024 edition of the “L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science” Levant Regional Young Talents Program. This program aims to promote and empower young women scientists from 5 countries: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.

In this year’s edition, the program will acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of 6 talented young Arab women scientists for their exceptional research achievements. The goal is to inspire and encourage them to pursue successful careers in the field of science within the Levant countries. The program will grant 3 endowments, each amounting to €10,000, to 3 postdoctoral researchers, and 3 endowments, each amounting to €6,000, to 3 Arab women pursuing a PhD (doctoral degree).

The submission deadline is April 21, 2024.

Call for Applications | 3R Lebanon: Research. Responses. Resilience (AUF)

In 2021, the AUF Middle East, in collaboration with CNRS-L, established an integrated program through a call for projects that combines support for a research project and includes doctoral mobility in international partnerships.

This program aims to support projects with national impact. It responds to the request of Lebanese authorities in a context of crisis and represents the AUF’s response to supporting the resilience of the national scientific community, benefiting universities.

Call for Applications | Support for Scientific Events and Publications (AUF)

As part of the “Research Valorization in the Middle East” program, the AUF Middle East is launching a continuous call for the year 2024, aiming to support international and multilateral scientific events, as well as scientific works in French, that will take place between March 15 and December 31, 2024.

The submission deadline is November 30, 2024.

Call for Applications | My Thesis in 180 Seconds (MT180) – Lebanon Competition 2024

The AUF Middle East, in collaboration with the CNRS-L and the National Observatory for Women in Research (DAWReK'n), is organizing the 7th edition of the My Thesis in 180 Seconds (MT180) – Lebanon Competition, with the final scheduled for June 2024.

This opportunity is open to students currently or previously enrolled in a higher education or research institution in Lebanon, pursuing a research doctoral program involving the writing of a thesis (PhD), or those who have completed their doctorate within the 12 months preceding the international final.

Call for Applications | CNRS-L Doctoral Scholarships

The University of Montpellier (UM) and the National Council for Scientific Research - Lebanon (CNRS-L) aim to strengthen their partnership in areas of common interest. To this end, they are funding 2 co-supervised doctoral research contracts for the year 2024–25, within the framework of an international co-supervision of thesis between UM and a Lebanese higher education or research institution. This funding is exclusively intended for Lebanese students who hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) recognized as such by both institutions. This call for applications aims to identify collaborative projects between research teams or researchers from the UM and Lebanese research units recognized by the CNRS-L.
