April 9, 2019 was the "Open Day for Telecommunications". An engaging title for a compelling workshop - especially when given by well-known local and international speakers! On the initiative of the Faculty of Engineering at Antonine University - Hadat-Baabda campus, more than 300 participants came to listen or discuss topics such as large-scale network systems, space, astronomy, inter-vehicle communication (V2V communications), and integrated systems with experts, professionals, and researchers.

In addition to the wealth of information exchanged that day, Father Rector Michel Jalakh discussed the positive contribution of telecommunications in a country as small as Lebanon with the attendees, insisting on the importance of never losing sight of the human dimension. Moreover, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chady Abou Jaoude, highlighted the cooperation between the Faculty and the Lebanese Research Center within the framework of constructing the first artificial satellite in Lebanon, the Cube 7, with the support of European universities.
For his part, the representative of the Minister of Communications introduced a schedule of future improvements concerning the Fiberoptic in Lebanon and testified to the quality of education offered by Antonine University, revealing the number of employees from UA recruited by Ogero.
