History

The Antonine School of Business (ASB) opened its doors in September 2006, under the leadership of the Founding Dean H.E. Dimyanos Kattar, the previous Minister of Economics and Finance and current Minister for the Environment and Social Affairs.

Surpassing all difficulties at the time, we started with 32 students at the Hadat–Baabda Campus split between a French section and an English section. Our Nabi Ayla–Zahlé Campus welcomed nine students in the French Section. The ASB has been embracing the challenges that it has faced with dynamic energy.

The ASB established a new cooperation agreement with South China Normal University (SCNU) in 2013, where five UA students traveled to China to be part of the China Business Immersion Program.

The ASB has hosted four international conferences in cooperation with Université de Franch Comté; Berytech; Institute Basel Fuleihan; and European Delegation and ‘Ecole Nationale d’Administration.

Today, the ASB is home for over 1,400 students registered across three campuses, Hadat–Baabda, Nabi Ayla–Zahlé, and Mejdlaya–Zgharta. With the help of our professional, young, and dynamic faculty members, we redefine the nature of business administration education in Lebanon.
