    Always striving to develop basketball in Lebanon through preparation and training, Antonine University (UA) and the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB) teamed up to support the coach development plan through the Basketball Clinic: Raise the Game seminar, held on December 14 and 15 at Antonine University in Hadat – Baabda Campus.

    Over 100 participants including coaches, teachers, physical trainers, therapists, and PE students of all levels took part in the Basketball Clinic seminar organized by the Center of Continuing Education (CCE) at UA in collaboration with the FLB and the Sports Academy School (SAS). Clinic speakers including the Medical and Rehab team and the coaching staff comprising Joe Moujaes, the national team head coach, and Georges Assaf, the national team physical trainer, animated this two-day training, during which participants learned about the basketball players medical file, the physiological demands of basketball, the importance of strength training, ergogenic aids, speed and agility in basketball and many more.

    The UA Bursar Fr. Antonios Awkar representing the UA Rector Fr. Michel Jalakh, and Mr. Charbel Rizk representing the FLB President Mr. Akram Halabi, joined the team on December 15 to congratulate the participants and awarded them a certificate of participation.

    This collaboration makes one more time a huge success; new skills are gained to improve and raise the standards of the play. Good luck and well done to everyone who participated!
