First National Day of Lebanese Traditional Foods

“Preserving Our Culinary Heritage for Future Generations”

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Nizar Hani, Minister of Agriculture, Antonine University (UA), in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and the Sectoral Committee for Traditional Food Products, invites the public to the First National Day of Lebanese Traditional Foods, a national initiative celebrating Lebanon’s culinary heritage and the knowledge, skills, and traditions passed down through generations.

Traditional Lebanese foods are an integral part of the country’s cultural identity. Beyond their culinary value, they reflect generations of craftsmanship, agricultural practices, and local knowledge. This event seeks to raise awareness of the importance of preserving these traditions, supporting local producers, and ensuring their continuity.

For UA, hosting this national initiative reflects its commitment to cultural heritage, community engagement, and the exchange of knowledge. By connecting academic expertise with traditional practices and bringing together public institutions and local communities, the University reaffirms its role in addressing societal needs and contributing to Lebanon’s cultural and sustainable development.
